I have to agree that almost all the semantic websites I've seen, with huge list of triples, look at best discouraging, at worst impenetrable.

You might find COE, our graphic ontology viewer/editor, useful. It displays RDF/RDFS/OWL as concept maps, lets you edit the Cmap and then outputs legal OWL/RDF. Many people use it primarily for viewing ontologies.
