Public-web-security readers:

Many of you aware, but it is my pleasure to announce to this audience that the
W3C Web Application Security Working Group has been officially chartered, to
develop, refine and bring to standardization and deployment some of the many
ideas discussed in this forum.

Please be a part of taking this effort forward!

If your organization is a W3C member, please ask your AC representative to join
the group at https://www.w3.org/2004/01/pp-impl/49309/join and nominate
participants from your organization.

Our first Face to Face meetings will be held at the upcoming W3C TPAC 2011, Oct
31-Nov 4 in Santa Clara, CA, USA.

If you are sending a representative to TPAC, have them sign up for the
WebAppSec WG session, and if you are not yet sending a representative,

please consider doing so, costs are quite modest. Registration is

open until October 14th.

If your organization is not a W3C member, you would like to participate, and
you believe you meet the criteria for an Invited Expert,
(http://www.w3.org/2004/08/invexp.html) please contact me directly and I would
be happy to discuss that possibility with you.

Thanks,

Brad Hill - W3C Web Application Security WG Co-Chair
