There is *a lot* of scripts out there. However browsers have never have enforced a mimetype check for <script> loads, which has resulted in great many (probably the majority) of these scripts are not server with a mimetype declaring them to be javascript. As a result of this, the benefit of ignoring the mimetype is that we can access the vast body of scripts available on the web. / Jonas
