All, The CCADB update introducing the new Example Certificates feature on the Add/Update Root Request case is now complete. CA Owner access to the CCADB has been restored.
This update: Added a new EXAMPLE CERTIFICATES tab to the Add/Update Root Request case, with profile slots grouped by certificate type (TLS, S/MIME, Code Signing, Mark Certificates, and Other) built from each Root CA certificate's Trust Bits. Lets CA Owners submit one example end-entity certificate per profile, or mark a profile Not Issued, with automated validation of issuer-in-hierarchy, policy OID, and businessCategory or markType. Tracks each slot as Pending, Submitted, or Not Issued, and promotes approved examples to the Root Certificate record on case approval, visible read-only to all authenticated CCADB users. This is a separate feature from Test Websites, which is not changing. Test Websites checks the live TLS chain and revocation behavior for a root. Example certificates let a CA show how the certificates it issues for each profile are structured. Please continue to contact CCADB Support ([email protected]) with any questions regarding the CCADB.
