I am reviewing XEP-0060 vs. my implementation and noticed a note [17] about having disallowed batch publishing, so multiple <item/>'s are no longer allowed when publishing. Is there some discussion of the rationale for this in list archives somewhere? Also, the schema still shows <item/> as unbounded under <publish/>. Lastly, if you can only publish a single item, what is the scenario where <items/> is necessary under <message><event>?
