Hello,

I've just taken over as maintainer of the pudb Slackware package
hosted at slackbuilds.org.

I'd been using pudb3 for some days on a project and like it a lot,
but noticed that the version was old (2015.x) and contacting the old
maintainer proved fruitless.

The first thing I did was update it to the latest version and add
python3 support.

Then I hit a problem - Slackware ships with an old version of urwid
(1.0.3) so the python2 app wouldn't run. As it happens I maintain the
python3 version of urwid, so there was no problem with getting the
python3 build working.

What I would like to know is if there is any way of getting
python2 pudb working by using the python3 urwid library?

I suspect not, but I thought it worth asking just in case.

Cheers

-Dave

It _is_ user-friendly. It is not ignorant-friendly and idiot-friendly.
