Pulp 2: -
Dep solving - Automatically copy modulemd-defaults PR is ready to go: https://github.com/pulp/pulp_rpm/pull/1400 - *AI:* ttereshc to review - all of the original documented recursive-conservative bugs are now seemingly fixed - E.g. copying nodejs version 10 doesn’t accidentally copy v12, and copying mariadb or openmpi doesn’t copy perl anymore (that’s what the other PR was supposed to fix!) - “Recursive (not conservative) mode” is not working fully; its usage is unknown and likely low - *AI*: dalley to double check with Katello if non-conservative mode is used by them - Issue https://pulp.plan.io/issues/4693 is deprioritized <https://pulp.plan.io/issues/4693> - It is still reproducible but there are no longer any in-the-wild examples of this happening - It's questionable if the test case is actually valid, taking that into consideration as well the fact that the reporter used a weird random fake-RPM-generation tool from github. Additionally, the only truly worrying behavior documented there is no longer occurring. - +1 to deprioritize (if Katello agrees) - Next priority - *AI*: dalley to work on the dep solving feature to support multiple target/source repo in copy API and use recently merged multi-resource locking. - https://pulp.plan.io/issues/5067 Pulp 3: - Kickstart update (david/fabricio) - Kickoff meeting with ttereshc - Entered in MVP stories into redmine. Feedback welcome. - https://pulp.plan.io/issues/5110 - [daviddavis] Asked Justin about any gaps and he suggested https://pulp.plan.io/issues/5207 +1 - Thinking of naming content unit “DistributionTree” as “Distribution” is already something else in Pulp 3 - +1 to DistributionTree - *AI*: dkliban to share links on how to use kickstatr trees - Comps.xml generation - *AI*: ttereshc to ask platform folks - Probably no tooling - F30: Replace Comps Language Group With Langpacks - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Replace_Comps_Language_Group_With_Langpacks - How to for comps.xml - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_use_and_edit_comps.xml_for_package_groups - Containers work update - Should be ready to be added to CI pipeline - Modularity update (ppicka) - Adding support of compressed modular metadata - In touch with libmodulemd author, unblocked with further work, PRs will be updated soon Open PRs: - https://github.com/pulp/pulp_rpm/pulls - nothing outstanding which requires attention, apart from PRs mentioned above Triage: - Un-triaged bugs https://pulp.plan.io/projects/pulp_rpm/issues?query_id=30 - Triage etherpad https://etherpad.net/p/rpm_triage_grooming
