It was discovered that our docs weren't being built.  This has been addressed, 
and we are resetting the beta start date to today.  We have updated the release 
schedule to reflect this

There are also some typos that were present in the release announcement below, 
incorrectly stating 2.12 in some parts.  This has been corrected
