Hi Adrian, For the basic setup and config of the components you can use Ansible installer which will do the things for you [0]. Otherwise there is a separate section for the configuration [1]. I encourage you to reach pulp-list and/or our irc channel #pulp with such questions since there are more people who could help you.
Note that pulp3 is still in development phase and soon we have scheduled Pulp RPM beta plugin release so you can go and try it. Depending on how fast you want to use pulp in production and on the set of needed features you might consider to use a stable pulp2 version [2]. Let me know if that was helpful.
