For the record, my comment was a bit off since SPDIF has a priority of 0. The
reason the switch wasn't made back to HDMI was because I didn't have

This doesn't change the fact that the current behavior is a regression for
people without hardware analog jack detection. Sure there probably isn't that
many nowadays, so this might be what David Henningsson calls "corner cases".
