I have included your comment about this issue, because I am not that much
an insider of ALSA.
I would strongly advise writing to the alsa devel mailing list too.
Their bugtracker is not exactly a hive of activity in my experience.
They really don't take their own bug tracking interface serious!? That would
be poor, wouldn't it...?
They may do, don't want to speak for them, but like I say, I've always
found the dev mailing list to be a much more effective and interactive
communication mechanism.
