#307: Support for CoreAudio and MacOSX --------------------------+------------------------------------------------- Reporter: emoret | Owner: lennart Type: enhancement | Status: new Milestone: | Component: daemon Resolution: | Keywords: --------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
Comment(by jsnyder): There apears to be working coreaudio support in the esound that is provided through macports: http://trac.macports.org/browser/trunk/dports/audio/esound/Portfile I can confirm that it at least works in a mode for piping audio over the network from a Mac OS X host to another machine as described here: http://rolf.haynberg.de/?p=14 I believe others have had it work in the other direction as well, so starting with the driver that's used in that port would likely be a good bet. I'm using 10.5.6 on an Intel Mac, streaming over to an Ubuntu 9.04 machine with PulseAudio receiving the esound stream (once enabled through padevchooser). Latency isn't bad either. I'd take a crack at this, but I know nothing about how PulseAudio is structured or what would be required to make this work. -- Ticket URL: <http://pulseaudio.org/ticket/307#comment:3> PulseAudio <http://pulseaudio.org/> The PulseAudio Sound Server _______________________________________________ pulseaudio-tickets mailing list pulseaudio-tickets@mail.0pointer.de https://tango.0pointer.de/mailman/listinfo/pulseaudio-tickets
