#788: move-sink-input corrupts volume settings --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Reporter: samr7 | Owner: lennart Type: defect | Status: new Milestone: | Component: daemon Keywords: | --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- There appear to be at least two problems related to how pa_sink_input_move_to() handles sink input volume settings.
First, when a sink input is moved from a non-PA_SINK_FLAT_VOLUME sink to a PA_SINK_FLAT_VOLUME sink, the volume setting is replaced with whatever value was last in the relative_ratio field. Second, when a sink input is moved to a non-PA_SINK_FLAT_VOLUME sink, the volume setting is not correctly applied to the sink. In this case, list- sink-inputs will report the correct values, but they are clearly different than what is used to generate the output, which seems more like 100%. This problem can be reproduced by plugging and unplugging a Sound Blaster X-Fi USB adapter, with module-rescue-streams, module-always-sink, and module-default-device-restore loaded. This sound card does not have a hardware mixer, and PA_SINK_FLAT_VOLUME is inhibited. -- Ticket URL: <http://pulseaudio.org/ticket/788> PulseAudio <http://pulseaudio.org/> The PulseAudio Sound Server _______________________________________________ pulseaudio-tickets mailing list pulseaudio-tickets@mail.0pointer.de https://tango.0pointer.de/mailman/listinfo/pulseaudio-tickets
