The init provider is the best service provider for HP-UX, however the init
provider does not know about the location of the init scripts by default for
HP-UX. So, I propose a simple change to init.rb. The section for init script
location currently looks like:
case Facter["operatingsystem"].value
when "FreeBSD":
@defpath = ["/etc/rc.d", "/usr/local/etc/rc.d"]
else
@defpath = "/etc/init.d"
end
I suggest it now look like:
case Facter["operatingsystem"].value
when "FreeBSD":
@defpath = ["/etc/rc.d", "/usr/local/etc/rc.d"]
when "HP-UX":
@defpath = "/sbin/init.d"
else
@defpath = "/etc/init.d"
end
