Bug #1680: Setting user password on Solaris does not work
http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/show/1680

Author: coneill
Status: Closed
Priority: Normal
Assigned to: jamtur01
Category: Solaris
Target version: 0.24.7
Complexity: Easy
Affected version: 0.24.5
Keywords:

The user provider appears to use the -p parameter to useradd, to specify a
crypted password to use for the user. On Solaris, -p is used to specify the
project the user is associated with, so this fails. There appears to be no
alternative way to do this on Solaris, short of editing /etc/shadow. I'd
suggest in the short term that this functionality be disabled for Solaris.
