Issue #1905 has been reported by IanTurner.

Feature #1905: Use OpenSSL's new Kerberos support
http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/1905

Author: IanTurner
Status: Unreviewed
Priority: Normal
Assigned to:
Category:
Target version:
Complexity: Unknown
Affected version: 0.24.7
Keywords: security openssl kerberos cipher configuration authentication

OpenSSL supports kerberos as a cipher since 0.9.7a. Ideally, we'd like to use
Kerberos for authentication instead of certificates, to simplify host
authentication. This will require at least changes in the puppet configuration
(to specify Kerberos use and parameters), and may possibly require changes to
the Ruby SSL libraries as well.

See also Issue #1765, which may be impacted by the implementation of this
feature.
