Feature #1937: Puppet boostrap that starts with only ssh
http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/1937

Author: stevenjenkins
Status: Accepted
Priority: Normal
Assigned to: community
Category: installation
Target version: unplanned
Complexity: Unknown
Affected version: 0.24.7
Keywords: install, bootstrap

Larry Ludwig mentioned it would be beneficial if there were a Puppet bootstrap
tool that let someone get to a running Puppet client that is cross-platform.
For example 'ssh $remote_host yum install puppet' might work on a RHEL based
system, but something more cross-platform would be useful in some cases. The
tool would need to handle Puppet prerequisites (e.g., ssl, ruby, gems, factor,
etc).
