Issue #2039 has been updated by jamtur01. Status changed from Unreviewed to Duplicate
Duplicated of #1818 ---------------------------------------- Feature #2039: Continue template concatenation of multiple templates if one doesn't exist http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/2039 Author: joe-mac Status: Duplicate Priority: Low Assigned to: Category: Target version: Complexity: Unknown Affected version: 0.24.7 Keywords: I'm not sure if anyone else would like this, but here is my suggestion. When you compile a file with a list of templates like: template("beg.erb", "mid.erb", "end.erb") I think it'd be cool if puppet could somehow continue concatenation if say "mid.erb" is not found. I realize in some cases you don't want a partial file build so this is not optimal, but my case is that I compile an iptables-restore file for my hosts with a template. Almost all hosts have the same rules, except a few have one-off rules. I'd like to be able to do something like: template("iptables.beg.erb", "iptables.$fqdn.erb", "iptables.end.erb") And if the host doesn't have its own iptables file, still have the beginning and end concatenated. ---------------------------------------- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
