Issue #2179 has been updated by Luke Kanies. Target version changed from 1.5.5 to 1.6.0
I'll agree to the delay, but I think the paths are straightforward and could be resolved with a simple caching system that had a ttl of just a few seconds, which Facter should probably have anyway. Obviously I could be wrong; if you see a way to fix this mostly through changes in code paths, that would be great. ---------------------------------------- Bug #2179: IP support calls 'ip' and 'ifconfig' ridiculous numbers of times http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/2179 Author: Luke Kanies Status: Accepted Priority: Normal Assigned to: Luke Kanies Category: library Target version: 1.6.0 Complexity: Unknown Keywords: caching, ifconfig, interfaces I've got a client who says that they're each being called something like 1500 times, and Facter is taking 25% of the total run time. I am going to try to get a quick caching system in place for 1.5.5, but we can bump it if we have to. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
