Issue #2400 has been updated by Stéphan Gorget.

What is important is to be able to select, at least, only one ressource: a 
file, a package, ... As this feature purpose is really to be used 
interactively, by sysadmins, the command options should be the simplest to use. 
--resource 'File[/foo]' is ok, but something simpler to write will be welcomed. 
Do not forget to add a short options: --ressource|-r.

Add a parameter to puppetd that permit to see what changes that has been made, 
for example :
