Issue #3017 has been updated by Todd Zullinger.

Perhaps converting puppetFunction from a simple keyword to a region will help
here? I had a similar fix in my local repo for definitions. Both changes are
on the feature/0.25.x/vim-misc-fixes branch at
git://jet.mox.net/~tmz/puppet.git if anyone wants to test them and see if they
help or hurt.

Bug #3017: VIM syntax highlight for regsubst fails
http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/3017

Author: Daniel Kerwin
Status: Accepted
Priority: Normal
Assigned to: Marc Fournier
Category: ext
Target version: unplanned
Affected version: 0.25.2
Keywords:
Branch:

The syntax highlighting (vim) for regsubst function doesn't work as expected.
The first occurance of ")" makes the rest look syntactically wrong. See
screenshot for details
