Michael Smith updated an issue   Facter / FACT-1169 Missed fix for trailing . in domain from Facter 2.x Change By: Michael Smith A bug that was previously fixed in Facter 1.7 - https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/3909 - was re-introduced in Facter 3. When we read the domain from {{ hostname -f /etc/hosts.conf }}, it can include a trailing dot (.) that we should strip, as done at https://github.com/puppetlabs/facter/blob/2.x/lib/facter/domain.rb#L68-L70. This can result in incorrect domain and fqdn facts.
