While working on the VRO/VRA project one of the tasks was to prevent the VRO Plugin user from deleting the master's node certificate, which lead me to use <%= $trusted[certname] %>. I asked how we can see this information from the command line, but there was no easy way of doing this and no way through Puppet to do this. It would make life easier to be able to query trusted facts from a/the CLI. This information is able to be gotten from within a Puppet Template, but not from anywhere else. Thank you, whomever.
