Issue #4595 has been reported by John Bollinger. ---------------------------------------- Bug #4595: Page header of http://docs.puppetlabs.com/guides/language_tutorial.html is mangled by IE7 http://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/4595
Author: John Bollinger Status: Unreviewed Priority: Normal Assigned to: Category: web Target version: Affected version: Keywords: Branch: When the Language Tutorial (http://docs.puppetlabs.com/guides/language_tutorial.html) is viewed with Internet Explorer 7 (yuck), the page header is rendered incorrectly. I attach a screen shot of the mangled area of the page. I see at least these specific problems: 1) The top menu bar containing items "Documentation", "Support", "Contact Us", and "Download" is rendered vertically instead of horizontally 2) The second menu bar ("Puppet", "Services", etc.) is rendered overlapping and on top of the first menu bar. In my case the "Contact Us" item of the first bar was completely obscured. 3) The site search controls are rendered below the first menu bar instead of to its right, thus obscuring the links and quick nav menu in the header 4) The page title ("Docs: Language Tutorial") text is slightly clipped on the bottom. The layout details vary slightly with the browser window size, but the general layout problems described above remain. Internet Explorer 8 (on a different machine) appears to render the page correctly. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
