Issue #5564 has been updated by James Turnbull.

Status changed from Accepted to Ready for Testing

----------------------------------------
Bug #5564: Description of fqdn_rand
https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/5564

Author: Felix Frank
Status: Ready for Testing
Priority: Normal
Assignee: James Turnbull
Category: documentation
Target version: 2.6.5
Affected Puppet version:
Keywords: functions, fqdn_rand
Branch:

The documentation of fqdn_rand is too terse. "The first argument sets the
range" is a cryptic statement. I suggest the following addition:

"Generated random values will be in the range from and including 0 up to and
excluding n, where n is the first parameter."

A short description of how "additional (optional) arguments" can and should be
supplied wouldn't hurt, either, but is probably not important to most.
