Issue #4576 has been updated by Nigel Kersten.

If you assume people are taking advantage of every case where we don't raise an 
error and should, then we'd never end up fixing such bugs.

If the external node classifier outputs classes that are not defined, puppetd 
does nothing. It should really die.
