Issue #7179 has been updated by Nigel Kersten.
An acceptance test would be to invoke puppet node find from a node and check that it can find it's own definition. Set a default node definition or an ENC definition that returns specific classes/parameters. run `puppet node find <certname> --terminus rest --server <servername>` and verify that the yaml output of the node definition contains the relevant information. The facts will also be displayed as parameters. ---------------------------------------- Feature #7179: Modify default ACL for node requests https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/7179 Author: Nigel Kersten Status: Accepted Priority: Normal Assignee: Category: Target version: Affected Puppet version: 2.7.0rc1 Keywords: Branch: <pre> path ~ ^/node/([^/]+)$ method find allow $1 </pre> We should implement a rule like the one above as the default rule, both in the code and in auth.conf. This rule should match the catalog find rule, in that nodes can find their own definitions. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
