Issue #8608 has been updated by Kai Stian Olstad.
I installed this file and had the following issue.
The default background color in Kate is white and the attribute is also white.
<itemData name="Attribute" defStyleNum="dsNormal" color="#ffffff"
bold="1"/> <!-- #4A00C0 -->
Because of this I get a lot of white text on white background and that's hard
to read.
