On yum.puppetlabs.com you can download the srpms that includes a proper spec file. During the creation of 2.7.6 a few files were modified and removed/renamed. We also carried a mongrel patch in our packaged version of 2.7.6 that was from a commit that occurred after 2.7.6 was tagged.
