Issue #1878 has been updated by Wil Cooley.
Reviewed for triage-a-thon 21-01-2012; ticket looks ok to me for 2.7.9. Uncertain about "easy" designation: While this specific request might be easy, it seems like a feature that would need rather more design than is apparent. Original request specified that it should happen when source from server fails; should the meta-event be for any failure, should it be for this specific failure, should there be ways to subscribe to any of the several various ways this might fail or should "file not present on server" be considered more of an "exception" than an error (i.e., an expected case to be handled rather than a failure)? ---------------------------------------- Feature #1878: Trigger on failure of another type such as file? https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/1878 Author: Hari Sekhon Status: Accepted Priority: Low Assignee: Category: transactions Target version: Affected Puppet version: 0.24.7 Keywords: Branch: I can find no mention of whether this is possible from looking at the type reference. I want a specific exec to run only when another file definition fails to source it's file from a puppet:// server. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
