Sorry everyone, this was my worst nightmare, that it was somehow broken and nobody noticed until release. I definitely didn't intend to change any behavior, I was aiming for strict compatibility with existing usage. I'll take a look into this, as well as finally figure out how to write straight beaker acceptance tests as the testing around yumrepo was pretty minimum which made this hard.
