[root@vrc8fg3r8pug851 ~]# cat /etc/puppetlabs/code/hieradata/global.yaml --- deep: erict: tag: global first: one second: two [root@vrc8fg3r8pug851 ~]# cat /etc/puppetlabs/code/hieradata/defaults.yaml --- deep: erict: tag: defaults third: three fourth: four [root@vrc8fg3r8pug851 ~]# puppet apply -e 'notice(lookup(deep,Struct[{'erict'=>Struct[{'tag'=>String, 'first'=>String, 'second'=>String, 'third'=>String, 'fourth'=>String}]}],{strategy => 'deep'}))' Notice: Scope(Class[main]): {erict => {tag => defaults, first => one, second => two, third => three, fourth => four}} can i specify deep strategy without the type checking, which is a bit unwieldy?
