A while back there was a thread about improving file recursion:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.sysutils.puppet.devel/6695

My often faulty memory says that file recursion actually *did* get
improved at some point. But I just tested 0.25.4 with tidy and a giant
directory (>100k files) and puppet used 800M of RAM before I killed it.

Am I missing something or am I just imagining that file recursion was
improved?

yeah it got improved, but then got broken again :( http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/2899

cheers pete
