I was looking for a way to manage syslog in puppet and came across this old ticket with code attached:

It's marked "Accepted" but appears to...not actually be. Anyone know the history on this? If I dusted it off and cleaned it up (it appears to rely on a custom fact which doesn't seem right) does it have a chance of getting included upstream?

It should more properly be marked 'code insufficient'. 'Accepted' just means that the ticket is valid and code for it would be accepted if sufficient.

The code in question just never quite got ready to include in main, but Devdas probably still has it around and is likely willing to share it.
