Basically, it's only worth mentioning 'client' if you also want to
mention 'server', and we don't care about the server bits for anything
except the serverversion. Given that, I think it's reasonable to s/
client//g, and treat 'serverversion' specially.
But I don't have strong feelings about it either way.
