I have written puppet types for cobbler, they seem to work very well, but I have a question. Because of the very nature of cobbler there are a lot of interconnected requirements, and all of these requirements are directly inferred by the puppet rules, so I don't want to require the user to make a bunch of "require" statements when it could be very easily figured out by puppet. Is there a set way to manage "autorequires"?
Yes. Look for the "autorequire" function in other types. for example File does automatically depend on its parent and owner.
See http://github.com/reductivelabs/puppet/blob/0.25.x/lib/puppet/type/file.rb lines 233-258.
