The changes between 0.25.4 and 0.25.5 are not drastic, so porting your changes should not be too difficult; if it is, let us know and we may be able to provide some guidance. It also might make sense to repeat your test with 0.25.5 as a first step, to confirm that it is faster (it was for me when I tried it, but my setup isn't the same) before worrying about porting your changes.
