That isn't quite what I was asking (sorry if I wasn't clear).  The current
head of 2.6.next has progressed since 2.6.5 was released, and has the
"always audit" bug fixed.  My question is, does it do the notifies?  I know
we could say "of course it won't" (and quite possibly be correct) but since
we're trying to nail down the causal factors, it would be nice to know
rather than assuming.
