Hello, As a performance improvement, we're planning to compile ruby without sitedir starting with the next puppet7 release ( https://tickets.puppetlabs.com/browse/PA-3744). Puppet doesn't use sitedir internally (it uses vendordir), but we have a fact (ruby.sitedir) that points to it.
Do folks here install gems in or use the sitedir/site_ruby paths in any way, or use the sitedir fact? This only applies to the puppet-agent AIO packages. We plan to get this change into puppet 7.7.0 which is due next week or so. Any input/feedback related to this change would be highly appreciated.
