Some clusters are using database to store node information such as the group and the profile of the node. I'd like to use these variables in the manifests. I wonder if it is better to create a specific fact that provides it to the puppetmaster or if it is better to use the puppetmaster to directly query the DB. I don't know how to retrieve these variables. Though I realize that using facter is not great for security and scalability purposes.
