Your best bet is to contact the Ubuntu package maintainers directly using their bug system[0][1] or on the ubuntu-server mailing list[2]. It looks like you're running Facter out of one of the proposed repositories though. I'm pretty sure that facter_1.5.6-2ubuntu2.2_all.deb was put into the proposed repo to address #876130[3], #732953[4], and nothing else. If it breaks things for you, then you should definitely comment on one of those tickets with more details about your setup (at the very least which version of Ubuntu you're using).
