As I've seen in the code, th eyum provider passes the name of the package to yum, so instead of using source you should use name:
class yum::repos::puppetlabs { package { 'puppetlabs-release': ensure => installed, name => ' http://yum.puppetlabs.com/el/6/products/x86_64/puppetlabs-release-6-5.noarch.rpm ', } } that should work.
