You might have better luck understanding it if you ensure that the agent run happens with --debug turned on. That shows child process invocation syntax and you'll have an easier time relating what you've put in your manifests to what puppet is doing. Apart from that, if your output is non-confidential you could always put it on pastebin or something and ask about the bits you're having issues with? (NB: My corporate firewall blocks me from pastebin.
