Hey Stacey,

This error can be generated by queries made during the PuppetDB startup sequence and also if PuppetDB is upgraded but not restarted. Can your report your PuppetDB version with

curl -G http://localhost:8080/v4/version
(for the appropriate hostname)

and if you've just upgraded, ensure that you've restarted the service?
