Greetings, I maintain a open source software mirror used internally at ORNL, and have been successfully mirroring Puppet for some time. However a user asked me why he could not get Puppet 4 using the standard repository information. After some research/fumbling around we located it at https://yum.puppetlabs.com/el/7/PC1/x86_64/, which means we were mirroring it all along.
This means to get puppet4 I need to have users instantiate a separate yum.repos.d configuration file. Is this the recommended approach, or is there a yum configuration that would work better for users? I have no problem maintaining two separate yum configuration files, but users will find it confusing. Why was puppet4 released under PC1? Is it not ready for prime time yet?
