ok, I forgot to mention an old version of libportaudio2 (from 8.10) is needed to have it working more properly as they explain on the download page : http://www.mixxx.org/download.php == downgrading libportaudio2 from 19+svn20090620-0ubuntu1 to 19+svn20071207-0ubuntu3.
