OK, after another couple of test installs with wi-fi deactivated, I see it's not connected with downloading language packs - simply the DVD ISO has grown recently so it's too big for my puny little HD :(
(CD ISO installs fine on it) ** Summary changed: - ubiquity install of DVD ISO fails with "No space left on device" on Eee701 3.5G (downloads extra language packs?) + ubiquity install of DVD ISO fails with "No space left on device" on Eee701 3.5G -- ubiquity install of DVD ISO fails with "No space left on device" on Eee701 3.5G https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/507907 You received this bug notification because you are a member of puredyne team, which is the registrant for Puredyne Live. Status in Puredyne liveCD/DVD/USB/HD: New Bug description: Ran a fresh DVD homebrew from broth (bzr rev 306) and live boot was fine. Ubiquity install now fills up the 3.5G drive (I double-checked that ubiquity was using the whole disk rather than doing a side-by-side) and then crashes out with "No space left on device" message. The DVD ISO should be able to install to a 3.5G drive, right? It always has managed to fit in the past. du -hcs /target/usr/* 299M bin 52K games 896K i486-linux-gnu 21M include 1.4G lib 192K local 7.5M sbin 1.3G share 80M src 264K var 3.1G total I saw ubiquity doing "Downloading language packs..." which I haven't noticed before. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~puredyne-team Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~puredyne-team More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
