also the alias settings make it annoying if you want a non-coloured non- human-readable non-localed-time 'ls' (eg for seeing exact byte counts...), and the tab completion behaviour is confusing to me too...
anyway I personally will edit my liveUSB /etc/adduser.conf to set DSHELL=/bin/bash and hope that that does the trick ** Changed in: puredyne-live Importance: Undecided => Wishlist -- zsh shell config suboptimal https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/510952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of puredyne team, which is the registrant for Puredyne Live. Status in Puredyne liveCD/DVD/USB/HD: New Bug description: xterm titlebar says "xterm" - not "lint...@puredyne: ~" - and when you run sudo su (which uses bash) the titlebar changes to "r...@puredyne: ~", and stays that way even after you exit the subshell - a bit confusing to be in a non-root shell in an xterm that says root in the window manager, even a bit pointless saying just "xterm" when something more useful could be there (like current dir, etc)... _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~puredyne-team Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~puredyne-team More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
