theonice~ crashing pd

Bug description:
i can't really be 100% sure cause i dont have a second machine right
here to test the same patch but under puredyne the bugy
[pdp_theonice~] crashes pd when one sends the connect command. Im
using a patch suggested by the developer of the object so it could
well be the object in puredyne. please test.
