Yes, but I think you should check you procedures so that you don't have two nodes down. If you check ceph-user mailing list, almost nobody is using size=4, much less for clusters so small.

But hey, if the budget  and performance overhead is good for you, that's your decisión (and I concur that it's more secure!)
